What does the warranty cover and for how long?
All Snow Flow machines come with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. If a defect in materials or workmanship occurs during that period, Snow Flow will repair or replace the machine at no charge. Both commercial and domestic use are covered.
If the machine is assessed and no manufacturing defect is found, Snow Flow reserves the right to charge an inspection fee.
For full details, see our warranty policy page.

Setup
Do I need a special power outlet?
Do I need a special power outlet?
The most important thing is that the circuit is dedicated to the machine alone. Do not share it with any other equipment. Avoid extension leads — if one is essential, keep it under 2 metres and correctly rated for the machine's load. A shared circuit or long extension lead causes tripping, voltage drop, and compressor damage — and it voids the warranty.
All Snow Flow slushy machines run on a standard 10A outlet — but it must be its own dedicated circuit, not shared. Soft serve machines vary by model — check your product page or user manual for the exact power specification for your machine.
Setup
Can I use my machine outdoors or in a marquee?
Can I use my machine outdoors or in a marquee?
It is workable in the right conditions. The ambient operating range varies by machine — check your user manual for what your specific machine is rated for, and do not run it outside that range.
The machine needs its own dedicated power circuit. Avoid extension leads — if one is essential, use the shortest length possible (2 metres maximum) and the correct rating for the machine. If you are running off a generator, make sure it provides clean, stable power and has enough capacity for the machine plus anything else running on it.
Direct sun, rain, and dusty environments are not suitable. Dust in particular blocks airflow and is a leading cause of non freezing faults in outdoor and marquee settings. Check your product page or user manual for ventilation clearance requirements.
Troubleshooting
My machine is on but not freezing — what should I check?
My machine is on but not freezing — what should I check?
Work through these checks in order before calling support.
Mix ratio (slushy machines): Always check the label on your syrup or powder for the correct mix ratio. Snow Flow Slushy Syrup is 1:4. Fruchilla Slushy Syrup is 1:5. Powders vary by brand and product — always check the label. A mix that is too high in sugar may not freeze properly — it can stay too soft to dispense.
Ambient temperature: The space must be within your machine's rated ambient operating range — check your user manual. A machine running outside that range will struggle to freeze.
Ventilation and airflow: Check that nothing is blocking the ventilation vents. The machine needs clear airflow on all sides and at the rear. See your product page or user manual for the clearance figures for your model.
Condenser cleanliness: A dirty or dust clogged condenser is one of the most common causes of non-freezing, particularly in school canteens and dusty environments. If the condenser fins are visibly blocked with dust or debris, clean them carefully with a soft brush or low pressure air.
If all of these check out and the machine is still not freezing, submit a support ticket or call your local Snow Flow office.
Cleaning
How often should I clean my slushy or soft serve machine?
How often should I clean my slushy or soft serve machine?
For slushy and soft serve machines in regular commercial use, carry out a full clean every 3–5 days. Clean immediately whenever you change flavours. During high volume periods, rinse the dispensing nozzle daily.
Other machine types have different cleaning routines — always follow the schedule in your user manual.
Never use bleach or harsh chemicals on your machine.
Consumables
What's the correct mix ratio for slushy syrup?
What's the correct mix ratio for slushy syrup?
Always check the label on your specific product — mix ratios vary by brand and type.
Snow Flow Slushy Syrup mixes at 1 part syrup to 4 parts water (1:4). Fruchilla Slushy Syrup is 1 part syrup to 5 parts water (1:5). Powdered slushy mixes vary by brand and product — always check the label for the correct ratio.
A mix that is too high in sugar may not freeze properly — it can stay too soft to dispense.
This applies to slushy machines. Soft serve machines use a different mix — follow your supplier's instructions for that product.
